Talal Saint-Lôt
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
Currently overseeing all of NMGA's operations, Talal brings over 13 years of grant writing and administration experience, having worked with professors and specialized research staff to submit applications for research and training programs administered through the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other private foundations. He has overseen and administered over $6 million through the Justice Assistance Grants (JAG) program, the nation's most extensive federal law enforcement grant program. Talal has experience conducting site visits, leading online and in-person training, auditing programs for federal and state regulation compliance, monitoring sub-grantee spending activity, processing reimbursement requests, and coordinating federal drawdowns. Talal has assisted clients in securing funding for large public infrastructure projects involving drinking water, wastewater, highways/roads, community buildings, and airports. He has and continues to write and secure applications for countless federal and state grants including the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Department of Transportation (USDOT), Community Block Development Program (CDBG), US Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), US Economic Development Administration (EDA), US Department of Health Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), NM Environmental Department (NMED), and New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA). Talal is well-versed in a multitude of federal and state funding programs, including the capital outlay process. Talal has helped local agencies and non-profits secure over $100 million in state and federal funding throughout his career. He personally mentors and trains all NMGA grant writers who work as consultant contractors under his guidance to ensure the highest quality of work for all client products.
