Frequently Asked Questions
Depending on the nature of your needs, we will charge by the hour, by the job, or as needed based on a retainer.
Yes, under the following circumstances:
- We may reduce the hourly rate based on the agency’s budget and size
- If it’s a rush job, we may increase our fees
- If re-working the same request for multiple funders, a discount rate is applied
- When meeting clients outside of Albuquerque, we add mileage costs at the GSA rate, with travel time billed at half-rate
No. A successful grant application requires not only a well-written proposal, but other factors not in our control such as an agency’s capability, solvency, program experience and staff qualifications. However, for agencies contracting for 8-10 proposals on the same program, we do offer this guarantee – if none of the proposals are funded, we will submit 4-5 more on the same program at no charge.
No. It is against the ethics and standards of grant writers to accept compensation based on a percentage of funds received or to accept contingency fees. Grant funds should go to programming and project implementation in order to have the maximum effect.
Call or email to setup a phone consultation to find out if and how we can help you. We will follow-up with a proposal including the tasks that we will complete and the amount that I plan to charge. Upon accepting the proposal, we will work out a contractual agreement.
For most grant application projects, we submit detailed line item invoices once the grant has been submitted or every 30 days. For agencies contracting for multiple grant proposals or program development, we submit invoices monthly. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment within 30 days. We can also provide an IRS W-9 form upon request.
